AUXILIARY VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers are a part of the hospital "team". The auxiliary:
| Raises funds for essential hospital equipment |
| Delivers non-medical services |
| Encourages teenage volunteers |
| Provides opportunity for members to participate in educational programs and conferences |
| Works to promote good relations between hospital and community |
| Works primarily to benefit our hospital, patients and staff |
| Maintains liaison with other Auxiliaries across Ontario and Canada through the HAAO and CAHA |
Volunteers donate many hours working in the Hospital Gift Shop, providing tray favours, assisting with activities in the Long Term Care Unit and being available for other duties which make a patient’s stay more enjoyable.
A bursary is presented annually to a graduate of Englehart High School, who is entering a career in the health care field.
The Auxiliary also supports, through local and regional donations, foundations and facilities where care may be provided for residents of this area.
The Englehart and District Hospital Auxiliary would welcome you as a member of the Health Care Team. Memberships are available at the Gift Shop and from Auxiliary members.
